Ecology

Water: The municipality of Puerto Caicedo has an annual average of 3,025.4 million cubic meters of rainwater, which feed 86,440 hectares of land that drain rivers, streams, cochas and other wetlands; Due to lack of information, the amount of groundwater can not be established to determine the approximate total existence of the resource.

Forest: The land with tree cover covers approximately 49,958.5 hectares, of which 14,467.6 hectares equivalent to 29%, are considered for conservation purposes (protective forests) and 35,490.9 hectares for production (protective forest-producers).
