Putumayo River

Putumayo River has an extension of 1,800 kilometers, this Amazonian river is born near Puerto Asís and flows into the Amazon River in Brazil. One of the advantages of Putumayo is that this river is navigable throughout the year from the city of San Antonio del Estrecho and Flor de Agosto in Peru, to its mouth. The farmers of this area of the river produce banana, corn, rice, fruit trees and other products that are harvested taking advantage of the lands of this beautiful department.
